I'm Dan Eycott Self employed corporate video director / producer / editor. Storyteller and award winning indie Filmmaker.
Project 30th June
I spent the 5 of the last 7 years making Micropubs: The New Local I have produced and directed several award winning shorts films, that have been shown all over the world.
A few highlights include being screened at BFI futurefest, London Frightfest festivals and shown on London Live and Sky Arts.
I have been making films for corporate distribution for 20 years this year. I have a 1st degree in Film, Radio & TV from CCCCU, have been a mentor and tutor to young filmmakers clubs in the past and look to support new emerging talent where possible in my corporate work at my current and past 2 companies.
I am happiest when I have a camera in hand and a story to tell.
What is the next project?
Working title - The Great British Pub Co Scam
working logline: Where will you get your pints from when there is no one to pour them?
How can the university help this project?
There is an event being hosted on Uni grounds that is directly related to the subject matter of my documentary and I would like permission to capture it and use the content to make possibly 2 different projects from it.
If there is any chance that the media department would be so kind to provide crew members and production equipment to capture the in person event at the uni.
For such events I would usually shoot 3 angles.
I would love to offer the Uni the chance to host a screening of the final film early on in its distribution phase to keep you involved as much as possible or as you wish to be included.
PAID WORK
Also, for each of the students who crew I will credit them for their role in the final documentary in the credits and on IMDB.
I will capture Behind the scenes (create a media pack for them and the Uni to use for social media content)
I will write a testimonial for the Linkedin accounts to aid them in getting other works, and happy to be placed a reference for job opportunities they go for in the future.
