Lincolnshire Food Partnership are offering a brilliant volunteering opportunity!

Title of role: Media Assistant

Number of volunteer places available: 2

Tasks

Tasks dependent on volunteer interests and skills, but could include:

● Writing and blogging

● Website & social media

● Design & visual communication

● Film-making

● Other online tasks, e.g. mapping, data-handling, communications

Location: Home-based, with possibility of making visits

What kind of support/supervision will you receive?:

Regular supervisions and online support, minimum once a month

Personal qualities and requirements

A strong interest in a just and sustainable food system. Particular interests may include healthy eating, local food, community growing, agroecology, environment, challenging poverty, food education, etc.

Employability skills you will learn or develop:

Organisation, Communication, Perseverance and Initiative

Availability

Meetings and supervisions can be at student’s convenience; otherwise work is flexible. Would require a minimum of 8 hours/month, plus additional opportunities to learn about the food system and keep up with news and developments, e.g. reading, webinars, conferences.

Under usual circumstances, we ask for a six month commitment, which could be extended after a review if it is working well for both parties.
