Events Industry Open Day

Newark based events company Liz Hobbs Group (LHG) is association with the LHG Academy has announced that they will be hosting an open day to offer young people an opportunity to gain an insight into employment opportunities available in the Events Industry.

The open day will take place at LHG’s HQ – the Music Factory on Jessop Way, Newark between 11am – 2pm on Thursday 5 August 2021.

Aimed at young people under the age of 25 who are currently unemployed, the event will provide the chance to get a feel for the various roles in the events industry including event operations and logistics, staging structures, sound, light and video, artist management, marketing & PR, ticketing and box office, backstage functions, management contracting, administration and finance.

Liz Hobbs Group are one of the largest promoters and producers of outdoor concerts and events in the UK, having put on shows with some world class artists, including Little Mix, Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Rita Ora, Paloma Faith and Craig David in recent years to name a few. They are also the driving force behind the Newark Festival which this year will take place on Saturday 21 August on Riverside Park and will see McFly joined by Gabrielle, Vernon Kay and Lemar.
