Helps to build employability Skills
A message from the Careers & Employability Team:
The Employer Projects scheme offers students the opportunity to work on a real project brief set by a client- this may be an employer, organisation, or academic. Working in a group of 6-8 students from a variety of courses you will gain great work experience and you will be able to evidence to employers your ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment- this is exactly what employers are looking for!
We will support you throughout with weekly checkpoints. You will also complete project training, life skills training and employability support to ensure you are confident in identifying and communicating the skills you have developed. At the end of the project, you will present your findings as a group to the client and receive their feedback.
Application closes 19th January, so apply ASAP to get involved!
In Sem A we ran 4 projects and the students produced some amazing work, completing the scheme by presenting findings to their client. We have had so much interest from employers we are offering 15 projects this semester- wish us luck! Successful applicants will be placed in a suitable multi-disciplinary project group and supported throughout via various training sessions and weekly project checkpoint meetings.
