RAF Rugby Union are looking for a film to be made to explain 'what Rugby means' to the Forces community and how important it is. The film will be aimed at bringing in a new generation of players.

'BE PART OF THE GAME'

Intent: Provide an Info Ops campaign about RAFRU that focuses to increase participation but also demonstrate to wider RAFRU. England Rugby and Defence what Rugby does for RAF Service People. This is deliberately being asked for so that as the Constituent Body review stands up at England Rugy we can evidence a subtle approach by having digital resources available and out in the Social Media sphere.

How: This would focus on all of RAFRU participants from elite players through to volunteers. In short a “visual capturing” of what RAFRU does for the Service and that we are “part of the game” in England. The focus will simply be to bang the drum, that rugby is still such a vital part of the RAF. We still need a council member and this represent the modern RAF. I have listed 10 examples below of things, I believe we just do and don’t exploit that fully to the wider game.

  • 3 Women Internationals

  • 1 Mens International

  • Interservices

  • 7s

  • Coaching

  • National Panel Refs – community panel refs

  • Whole force participants

  • Participants from 18 – 60 in different roles from playing to administration

  • Volunteers

  • How we are growing the game in other areas and derivatives

  • Ex Lions in Alumni

  • Vice Presidents
